Las Vegas

We stayed on the lake, about 20 minutes from the strip. We had so much fun! The top photo is the view from our room. The bottom one is chocolate at the Belaggio.

6 random things...

My mom-in-law tagged me to write six random things about myself so here goes.

1. I have two scars from my sister. One from when we were "sword fighting" with palm tree leaves and she sliced my finger and another from when she stabbed me with a pencil (in her defense, she immediately started crying).

2. I'm always the last one eating. Not that I eat slowly, I just don't ever want to stop.

3. I'm really sappy and sentimental so I cry at everything, even American Idol.

4. I put salt on my fruit.

5. I'm the most indecisive person on the planet and I hate it.

6. I look really funny when I whistle, so most of the time I just tell people that I can't.

I tag my sisters: Amy, Ann and Amy!

First build-a-bear

So we finally ventured in to the Build-a-Bear Workshop at the mall. Probably not the best idea, because I don't know how we'll get past it next time.
Marlo picked out a pink bear with hearts on it and she put it in a Disney princess shirt of course. She named her Miss Princess Bear and insisted on carrying her around in her critter condo (a lot of work, but she was too proud). She said it was her "best friend in the whole wide world".

Lets talk about The Hat

I don't care who you are, you gotta love that thing. And the woman wearing it. I think everyone knows that Aretha is my favorite singer in the whole wide world. Her music is what I turn to in happy times and in sad because she just conveys so much emotion that it touches me down to my bones. And she was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And her voice is listed as "a natural resource" in the state of Michigan. And she just can't be messed with.
If I ever saw her in person, I would bawl my eyes out into her bountiful bosom and thank her for ever opening her mouth to sing.

And this one's for Mark:
