this little light of mine

Will she ever know how happy she makes me, just by being her sweet little self? How can I tell her about all that she has done for me, by the tender age of three? Maybe I'll tell her while prom dress shopping, or wedding dress shopping. But I don't think she'll be able to understand until she's holding her own child in her arms. But someday I'll make sure that she knows.

Even though after I took the bottom photo and she asked for more halloween candy (notice the lips) and I said no, she told me
"Then I'm going to leave San Diego and go to Utah."

Dear bed,

Oh how I miss you. I apologize about our lack of quality time these last five months. Please know it is not by choice. Please know, that when I make you up in the morning (or sometimes afternoon) I want nothing more than to crawl back into your sweet embrace.

I'm sorry for repeatedly leaving you throughout the night. I'm sorry for the tossing and the turning. And I'm sorry for pushing the capacity with the three extra people by morning (although they are small and very cute).

I'll be back, maybe not soon, but someday.

love always,
Erin

Just a thought

Why is Thanksgiving the fourth Thursday of November? I think it's awfully close to Christmas, therefore shortening my holiday season. Why can't it be earlier...say the second Thursday?

It doesn't really have to be a Thursday even. I don't know why it's during the week. It could be the second Friday and then we'd have Black Saturday to follow.

I don't think it would hurt anybody to move it. I'm sure retailers would like to have a longer holiday shopping season. I'm sure the football would get figured out. And I wouldn't mind greater spacing between my turkey consumption.

What do you think? Who's with me?

these yahoos

11-10-09

We went to Wild Animal Park the other day. The weather was so nice, like 83. It's usually way too hot.

So the boys cried practically all the way there and all the way home. They really don't like their carseats and it makes everyone pretty miserable. So needless to say we won't be driving up north at Christmastime.

I don't know how will make it all. The logistics of traveling when I have 3 in car seats is enough to make my head spin. But not seeing my fam is gonna break my heart!

I dunno...too much to think about!

The boys are chewing their hands and drooling A LOT. Oh and not napping. And Graham in the top photo...they always put their fists up to their mouths and lick them like they have imaginary ice cream cones.

It's over...on to Christmas.

It's hard to get good pictures on Halloween, but here goes:

Cash does not like the paparazzi. Graham's top pea was soaked because he kept trying to eat it. And how hilarious is Mark?

It was the best Halloween I've had in years. We went to the town center in the morning for some kid activities and a parade. The boys were roasting in the 76 degree weather.

Mark lined the garage with black tarp and went all out decorating it. Kids had to come in to get their candy. I dare say it was quite a hit. Our next door neighbor took Marlo trick-or-treating for us while we got the boys to sleep. So much fun...I love our new neighborhood!
