Grand Case

is the "culinary capital" of St. Martin. It's on the north (french) side of the island. Because it was off-season, most of the shops and restaurants were closed, but we stopped at this adorable restaurant called La Marine.

We had a great lunch and then just walked down to the beach below, where there were lounge chairs for our use. The entire beach was deserted with the exception of two topless Parisian beauties who were right next to us.

I don't think I've ever been so obviously American.
