not much going on...

Everyone one is sick with the nastiest colds. Mark's voice is almost gone, Cash's cough sounds like a seal, and Marlo and Graham have progressed into ear infections.
And our laptop isn't working so well and I'm reluctant to download photos onto our dinosaur of a PC (we got it the year we got married). So it's been hard to blog.
Also a photo of the boys' room, with nothing on the walls or windows. One of these days. I'm really missing the gray paint at the old house right now :(

I'm baaack

The boys are sleeping better at night, waking up once instead of twice. I think it's because they're finally eating solids. Cash loves him some food...he acts like he's been eating peas his whole life. Graham, on the other hand, takes forever to feed because he doesn't quite have the hang of it yet and I'm stuck there making that stupid mom face with my mouth hanging open.

Christmas was fun with my mom and John here. I really missed seeing everybody else. I did love it when Marlo went down the stairs Christmas morning saying, "He came, Santa came!"

John gave me his old camera and I totally don't know what I'm doing with it yet but I'm so excited about it.

stick a fork in me, as I am done

It's 5:45 am. I've been up since 4. Mark has been up since 3. This is not unusual.

The boys go to sleep around 6 in the evening. Then up at 10 or 11, and up again at 3 or 4 for feedings, which take an hour each time.

During the day, their sleep comes in three half-hour naps. They have to be walked/rocked for at least 10 minutes. You lay the first one down, then work on the next one...and fifteen minutes later the first one is up. It is a lot of work for such little reward, especially since they each weigh 18 pounds.

I have tried keeping them up later, but they are just so cranky and we're all so tired. I've tried to schedule their naps, but one will go down and the other won't. I've tried letting them cry it out in the same room or separate ones, and it makes no difference. They will cry till they break out in a rash.

My new method will be to just let them go until the point of utter exhaustion, because that's where everybody's at.
