I love this little body...

even though it's getting so big!

Today while ironing and organizing the office, I watched The Evening Star, the sequel to Terms of Endearment. It was so good, although probably not the best thing to watch with surging pregnancy hormones. I cried just hearing the music in the opening credits.

The sweetest face...

After two hours of talking to herself and jumping around in her crib, my girl finally quieted down for her nap. When I checked on her, I found this:

23 months old

I can't believe Marlo's going to be two next month! Where did my baby go?

As much as I wish the time would slow down, I love seeing her progress every day. She is talking so much about anything and everything. Today in her carseat she was pretending to eat ice cream, telling me it was "tasty" and "licious".

It melts my heart when she motions with her hand and says "Come on, Mommy." Or when I leave the room and she says, "Mommy, wait a second!"

I love how she pretend-plays, feeding her stuffed animals and hugging her baby dolls. Her imagination is hard at work!

I love this little girl so much!

*this video is from last week's playgroup Easter party. Marlo loved her friend's Thomas trains and helmet. She wore it for probably 20 minutes...

Less than thrilled

And Happy Birthday to Mark!

His birthday landed on Easter this year. We didn't do much, being in our thirties and all. He went golfing at La Costa yesterday and came home talking about how we need to get a membership! He certainly deserves one!



We went to his aunt Lane's for dinner and a little celebration. My pictures are all blurry, but her tables were so cute and dinner was delicious...

If haven't blabbed to you already, we're expecting another bundle of JOY on October 10th!

We had our first ultrasound on Monday and we got to see our little one's heart beat as he/she squirmed all around.

We're so excited to be expanding our family!

I heart Legoland

It doesn't have the big fancy rides like Disneyland, but it doesn't need them. It's just definitely geared toward younger kids with places for Marlo to just play. There's a lot of water features which she'll love when it gets a little bit warmer. It's only a few miles away and we just got a membership so we'll be there all the time.

We went down to Anthropologie at the forum shops yesterday and Marlo loves to see the koi pond.

Sorry but I think this video is sooo funny. Marlo got into a bag of jellybeans and spilled them everywhere and she couldn't have been more thrilled.
